1981 XS 650:
Hi!
Here is a photo of my old 81 XS 650. This is the fourth motor out of a Heritage. It is a mix of everything. I bought it in Anchorage Alaska when I worked for Yamaha in 84. Put the first 10,000 miles on it there. Now it is near Denver, Colorado. The Harleys look down on my old Yamaha, but we got a lot more miles on our butt than most of them. She needs a few more parts to get to where I want it, but I spend a lot of time riding it. I have mucho engine parts if anyone is interested. Major parts that may cost an arm and a leg. We rode mostly with Harleys though and even a 1948 Indian Chief chopper. Anyone interested in a photo let me know. Pipes on the Yamaha are drilled out and she sounds as good as any 650. Has new shocks and K&N air filters, in the stock air box. Stock gearing.
