The Black Tracker

Here is another bike I have put together over the winter. This one is called "The Black Tracker". It is a 1975 XS 650 B, and was in really bad shape when I got it. I tore the bike down & did many frame modifications to it before I had it bead blasted. Then everything got powder coated gloss black. The engine has been left stock & only the carbs & exhaust have been upgraded. I used the chrome header pipes & mufflers from Mikes XS & re-built the carbs with new jets. It sounds sweet & runs like a top. The tank is from a 1970 XS-1. Certain mods had to be done because these tanks are a little longer than the later model tanks but I was able to retain the front tank mounts. The seat pan & pad are from HotWing Glass down in Florida. I installed new tapered bearings & bronze swing arm bushings on this bike. Additional after market parts were also installed and most are from Mike’s XS.The head light & tail light are from CYCLPATH in Kirkland. All of the painting was done in-house & the custom bits & pieces were fabricated by me in my garage shop here in Kirkland, WA. This bike is for sale, and anyone interested in it or just has questions or comments or desires modifications to their existing bike can contact me at: stcustoms@live.com or you can call me at (425) 823-4374 Thanks again to Paul & all the crew at 650motorcycles.com. You guys provide invaluable inspiration & loads of info for the 650 twin crowd. Keep up the great work!!
