Bronze Swingarm Bushings Update:

Stock OEM loose fitting and fast wearing black plastic swingarm bushings (above) should be removed and replaced with quality bronze busings with a spiral machined lubricant groove.

Inside view of the stock swingarm pivot tube with the stock plastic bushings removed.

New bronze bushings are pressed in snug.

Bottom of swingarm is drilled and tapped half way into the weld at the centerline of the pivot tube.

Short thread zirk fitting will tighten solid until it almost feels like it will break off. By tapping through the weld area it will end up flush with the inner wall of the pivot tube. (see inside hole above)

This hollow, gun drilled for grease passage, and worn, (to a stepped area) weak stock pivot bolt is replaced with a solid pivot bolt with a larger threaded end from a GS Suzuki.

Solid Suzuki pivot bolt is installed and it has a 16 mm nut on the end, (white arrow above) versus a smaller 14mm and center drilled hole on the stocker. Bushings can be greased VIA the new zirk fitting on the bottom of the swing arm pivot tube and you can have a stronger solid pivot bolt too!
