Steve's XS 840 Street / Flat Tracker:

Hi,

I thought you might be interested in the pictures of my recently completed XS. The motor is an 840 with a small amount of head porting. Biggest problem that I have is the rear hub is a KTM cush drive and it limits the size of the rear sprocket so I need to modify the primary gears. I have been told that you can change the existing 27 x 72 gears for 32 x 67, no problem in getting the gears made but I would like to know how to fit the gear to clutch basket ? The bike goes great and it has a daytime MOT certificate which means that I don't need any lights, I have fitted a rear stop light for self preservation !!. I'm hoping to take it over to the Isle of Man TT this year on my annual pilgrimage.
