The Spillway Is Open:
The Bonnet Carre Spillway was opened up on Friday. It has been 10 years since it was opened up last. This lets the abnormally high Mississippi river water in the Springtime by-pass the city by going through the Lake Pontchartrain, then out through the Rigolets to the Gulf Of Mexico.
The river is at 22ft.
