Chopper Project:
Hi, I am the proud former owner of bike #259 on your page, Shawns nice orange Yamaha. Heres my latest project which has sat in the garage since I finished the frame last year. I recently came across a good running 650 with new battery, cam chain and rear tire for a couple of hundred dollars, so I hope to have the bobber project together and ready to be tore down and painted by spring. I used 1 1/4 O.D. for the rear frame and handle bars. I welded in a bar above the triple tree to connect the handlebars and welded nuts into the bottom to bolt them into the tree with. Risers could be fashioned in the same way but I like my funky bars. Hope to have finished pictures in the spring. Thanks for the site, Nat.
