Old School Hardtail Chopper:
This is another bobber
from G&L Choppers. It is a 1972 TX650. As every bike before,
nearly everything was done in house. The hardtail section is
5" over stock made from DOM tubing. The front stock
downtubes were removed and stretched 1.5" and the steering
head raked to lower the front for a level ride. 40 degree turned
out intakes were made for the 34mm Mikuni's. Seat height is
23.5". The shotgun style drag pipes were made from pieces of
other motorcycle exhaust. The grips and pegs were turned out of
billet round stock. The front fork legs were shaved removing the
brake mounts for cleaner look. Paint was done in house. It is HoK
black sparkle pearl. This bike has sold. It was built for my bro
Tommy in Virginia.
G&L Choppers builds exclusively Old School hardtail Choppers
and Bobbers. G&L builds bikes using only metric or brit
bikes. G&L does very little to no parts outsourcing to keep
cost down. G&L also builds coffin tanks, grips, pegs, etc for
your metric or brit bike. If your interested in having your stock
bike resurrected give me a shout. T-shirts are also available.
Thank You,
Richard Ford
