Nice Bike In Norway

Hi,   Here are some pictures of my `77 XS 650, before and after rebuilding. I bought it in 1992 and used it for a couple of years, then it was put in storage. It stood in the back of my garage for year after year while other bikes came and went. Then in winter 2004/05 I decided to restore it, and took it apart, sandblasted and powder coated all painted parts, rebored and rebuild the engine with new pistons, camchain, bearings, seals etc, rebuild the carbs and petcocks, fitted electronic ignition, stainless spokes, bronze swing arm bushings, tapered stearing head bearings, steel braided brake hoses, new tires, shocks and silencers, polished all the chrome and aluminium parts, repainted tank and sidecovers and so on, too much to mention all. I`m proud to say I`ve done it all myself except for the powder coat and rebore of course. Now I enjoy riding it here in the short nordic summers, .........great bike!   After I found this great site I have been inspired to build a cafe racer of it, and its nearly finished, updates will follow.

Thanks.  Pål Magne, Norway   pvedvik@broadpark.no
