1978 XS 650:

Hi,

This is my '78 XS650. I purchased it last October for $500. It was in great shape with French blue factory tank and an enormous factory king and queen style seat. It has just over 10K miles on it. I put a new battery in it and a new starter button to get everything working right. Next was the 750 tank, the Ducati knock off seat (which of course needed some creative trimming). Then came the clubman bars and bar end mirrors. I originally used the clubmans off of MikesXS but was not happy with the positioning (not low enough). The ones on the bike were found on ebay for I think $25.00. This is about an $800 dollar bike now altogether. I'm planning on either adding a brit-style taillight over the winter, or I might just ditch the rear fender altogether and mount a tail light/plate combo like the bike on ColoradoNortonWorks. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of the decal adhesive on the tank, please let me know. I also welcome any comments/suggestions for my bike. Thanks for lookin.
