New Flat Track Racer:

Thanks for the great site. Is a great source for new Ideas. Attached are some shots of an XS650 Flat track racer I built over the long, cold, lonely NH winter. Also a "before shot. The highlights: The motor is tilted forward 15 or so degrees so I could have enough room to make a 2 into 1 intake and run a single 38mm Mikuni. That also allowed the swing arm pivot shaft to be moved forward about 1.5 inches and with a newly fabricated "H" type swingarm mounted on 4 sealed ball bearings I was able to pick up the down tube as a mount point and add cosiderable stiffness to the frame. A new 1 5/8" exhaust, 707 big bore kit, 65mm offset triple clamps, gold valving and progressive springs in the forks and Red Wings at the rear, etc.. Never raced flat track before but looks like fun so here goes!
