1979 XS650 Special II:
Hi!
I am sending a couple of pictures of my 79 Special-ll. This is the second Yamaha 650 I've owned. The pics were taken today after a short ride around Omaha. Aside from your carb's I've just done the swing arm bushing and pivot bolt replacement, a fork brace, gaiters, daytona touring bars, cables, and bar end mirrors. Also Mac pipes from Mikes XS and sportster mufflers. The paint job is a rattle can job using Lowes paint. I had the seat recovered by a local upholsterer. These bikes are a lot of fun to ride as they take one back to the basic elements of motorcycling. Nothing fancy, and everything out in the open. Your site, and help on this project were indispensable.
