Three Custom Bikes:
Merry Christmas and thanks for a great web site. Lots of great ideas. Heres a pic of our bikes. As you can see, we like black bikes. My 18 year old son Drew designed and builds the rigid bobber from a wreck he bought on e-bay, He did most of the work including spraying it himself. Hes just fitted 34mm roundslide Mikunis. It pulls like a train, handles well and sounds great. It is bike no 949 on this site. . I picked up the XS1B as an unfinished project. I got the idea of the Harley Sportster seat from this web site and picked up this seat on E-bay for $100 the same day, its brand new. . I spent hours building a neat frame to fit it to the Yammy frame. Lowered rear shocks and raked standard length forks, hence very lowered. The little single is a Francis Barnett Kestrel model 69 from 1955. Its been in the family since new; it was used as a trail /farm bike. I restored it in the 80s. With a 5.5 HP, 149 cc Villiers powerhouse, Its fun to ride but a bit slow!
