Chopper:
What a great website!
Here is my 77 Yamaha 650. Bought it for $300. It was 100% bone stock. I don't think the chain was ever even adjusted! The only problem was that it seemed to have been stored at the bottom of a pond for about 15 years! Cleaned it up, went through the carbs. blah, blah, blah, new spark plugs, blah, blah and it ran! It ran good! So I started taking off parts. It started looking better. So I took off some more parts. It looked better still. I found this website. I discovered I was doing it right! I piled up all the parts, took a picture of them, put the picture on "Craigslist", sold all the parts an hour later, made the money back that I spent on the damn thing to begin with! Then, got out the "sawzall" and the welder, went down the street to steel recycler place, bought about 20 feet of tubing, went to "Home Depot" for some spray paint, started welding and grinding and painting, threw on the Sportster tank the guy gave me with the bike and two months later....here it is!!WHEWWWW!!
