1979 XS 650 Bobber:
Hi,
This started life as a 1979 Yamaha XS650F. Swingarm is stretched 4 inches with stock shocks, all unnecessary brackets and etc. were removed from the frame. Battery box holds battery, key, kill switch, dimmer switch, horn button, voltage reg. and rec. This leaves the handlebars nice and clean. Stock head pipes with Harley exhaust( just cut off the old exhaust), sole seat, plus many other bits and bobs. The stock parts on the bike just needed a little TLC and a lot of elbow grease. Most new parts came from MikesXS.com (great site thanks) and he is local for me so I got the parts fast, the other parts came from trades, bike swap meets, ebay or fabricated myself. This bike was a lot of work to get it finished but I would do it all over again cause it is a blast to ride and always gets comments, thumbs up and etc. This is one of three bikes I own and I like them all for different reasons but this Bobber always puts a grin on my face.

P.S. my brother Larry in Newton, Iowa has #778 1967 BSA A65 Lightning and #842 1981 Heritage Hardtail Bobber on this site but as you can see mine is much cooler!
