I picked up a 72 xs650!!!

Super excited, got it for a great price and it runs great. Started tearing it down and should have the engine out tonight. Friday I order that tcbros weld on hardtail. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about them? This is my first build so I'm trying to get a feel for everything. I'm turning it into a 70's style chopper that I can travel a lot on. I don't want any dead space in the frame either after I take out the airbox and everything else that doesn't need to be there. Any idea how long I want this beast? Thanks for your help.

Congrats, pics? Was it nice enough to restore? tc bros I believe come in a 3 or 4 inch stretch, both have a good look. good luck keep us posted.

make sure you weld up your TC tail with the the engine in or you may have problems getting it to fit. things will shift and your bolts will be off.

Fick ya, I'll keep all that in mind when puting it together. I ordered the hardtail today and should have it to me on Thursday. I have a bunch of photos on my camera but some puerto ricans thought it'd be a good I dea to come in my house and steal my computer and everything else. So once I get a computer I'll put those photos up. Thanks for the help.
