sorry for the time away, lost my password and havnt been able to join as new member, o well. so anyway it ended up being the fuse box. it was the old glass style. i updated the fuses and bike no longer cuts out. it still needs a few adjustments. its my buddies bike. he put it on the road about a month ago and put a few hundred miles with out it cutting out. i think the motor needs to really be gone thru.
I am also almost finished with my own chopper project, 81 xs650 special been almost 2 years. any recomendations
i am welding up rear pivot for drum brake, and finishing the exhaust. it has straight pipes but i think i am going to order those little stubby mufflers from tc bros. 25$ each. i have mikes xs cone pod filters on there and just orderded the needle main jet kit from mikes xs as well. its all ready to go wired brakes lights blinkers 100 % legal.. getting a mass sticker next week. i have ran it about ten times in the last 2 weeks. runs perfect,( as good as it can with straight pipes+pods).
with the jet/needle kit, tc bro mufflers, will solve my minor tuning issues and i should be good. I think?
