I'm a big fan of what I call the, "Anti" bobber look. It makes the bike look like a negative of a picture. Kind of an anti establishment look. Most bikes it seems are black with chrome wheels. Looks great, really can't go wrong... but the look I'm talking about is kinda the opposite. The XS650 mag wheels look great painted gloss black and the tins look good in raw steel with clear coat. That's what I did with this build.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hPHc4X1T8w High temp engine enamel VHT Black is really glossy and hard. Lots cheaper than powdercoat. The Firestone repop tires from coker look great on the painted mags. I'll be using them on the next build and I'll go will be a rigid like yours with the anti look.
Nice bike, With your eye for proportion and detail I'm sure whatever you figure out will look great. Keep postin pics!
