1976 XS 650 Project:
Hi,
Here are some photos of my 76 XS650 project. It took about 2 years to complete, but worth every bit of the effort. Thanks to Mikes XS for many of the suspension and engine parts used in the project. Also special thanks to Dan at Fischer Vintage Cycles (Japanese Vintage) for rebuilding the upper end of the engine, finishing up the electrical wiring, good advice, and some additional parts as the front fender, taillight, and handlebars. Also, thanks to Jack at Deer Park Cycle (British Vintage) for lacing the wheels with Buchanan stainless spokes after the wheels were powder coated and mounting some nice replica Dunlops. The frame, swing arm, and side stand were also powder coated. Lots of hours stripping, painting, and polishing. I recently took the bike on a 900 mile trip where it performed flawlessly. Thanks to everyone for all their help.
Brad
