Billys Bike:
Hello there,
I just finished this bike
as a senior project for high school. My name is Billy and I'm 17
years old. This started out as a complete bike that I bought for
$25 a few years ago. I then stripped some parts off of it and
left it in my yard up until six months ago when I started the
project. I rebuilt it from the ground up: rewiring it (with some
help from my dad), fabricating a new seat, bending and rewelding
the rear end up, installing new brake master cylinders and many
other things. I didn't do the whole engine over but I checked it
to see if it was good before cleaning everything and putting it
back together.
Honestly your XS site inspired me to do this project. All of the
pictures helped me with designs and motivation. I even emailed
one to ask about the process. I looked for an XS for this project
and almost bought an XS 400 before deciding to just use the one I
had.

process and the completed bike.
