Benny's Bobtracker:
Here's my 1980 650XS SG. I like bobbers and flat trackers so this is an ongoing mixture of both. I changed the handle bars and mirrors, my son Rex made the struts to lower the rear, shortened the side stand, removed the center stand but kept it for servicing, removed the fenders, installed a side mount tail light and plate, the seat was chopped at the rear and the foam padding was taken out and trimmed with an electric meat carving knife, vinyl from a fabric store to cover it, installed different turn signals and brackets, reverse cone megaphone mufflers and side covers came from MikesXS, chopped the rear grab bar, removed the speedo and tach, removed the tank badges. I will be adding flat track handle bars, short rear fender, rebuild the leaking front forks, smaller rear sprocket, 750 big bore kit with a race cam and new dual 38mm carburetors, paint for the tank, side covers and rear fender. Yamaha did it right when they designed these mag wheels. They've got to be the coolest looking wheels on the planet.
