A Beater Bike:
Hi,
Awsome web site! Made me go buy this total rat $100.00 (see first pic) and start working. I'm four months into this project, This is what I got done with one arm (off work for shoulder injury rotater cuff) the engine is rebuilt 750 kit, megacycle cam, ported head, 36mm Mikuni's, hand polished everything I could, detagged frame, ran wiring through bars and frame, reinforced frame so I could remove the ugly bars under the air filters, 7.5 amp batt under seat, drilled brake rotor, respoked wheels, upgraded to solid state rec. regulator, used the front fender on the rear swing arm as a hugger type fender. Frame is rattle can with clear, tapered stem bearings, modified DT 100 tank, removed most switches filled and painted switch gear, made my own wire harness and it actually worked! Still waiting on front brake hose, air filters, paint and seat pad as money allows but its all ready warm out AARRGGHHHH!!!! Here's some pics so far of the bike and the frame mods.
