Hi!
This great site has ben a fantastic place for inspiration and technical source for my XS650. I want to send some pictures of my bike as a thank and it mayby can be a inspiration for some other. The bike was in stock condition and equipped with big saddlebags and a windshield that i removed before i used the bike. My first plan for the bike was to make it look more like a English bike with another seat and shortened rearfender. But i found this site and find the the French green caféracer and i was sold. That is what i wanna do with my bike. Now start the hunt for a gastank and i first find a 125cc Suzukitank but it isnt looked right but the on a swapmeet i find a greyprimed one that was perfect. Well almost perfect. The tanktunnel was to small to fit with the bike so i had to reshape the all bottom of the tank to fit it right. It turns out to be a Yamaha 125 tank from the late 70:th. The new seat is homebuilt by me and fitted to the orginal brackets so its easy to remove and the Suzuki tank was perfect to cut up and use at the back of the seat. (A tips from this site) Chromed air filters, miniflashers, clippons and homemade covers for the battery make the bike compleat. Then i painted the parts my self in silver with black stripes and put on some stickers. It looks that the bike is amateurbilt but im pleased with the result.
