1979 XS 650:
Hi,
So here is a pic of my first XS, a '79 model. It was pulled out of a junkyard, and, umm, ridden. Eventually, I took out the shocks and replaced them with "lowering struts'(read solid metal bars 2.5 inches shorter that the shocks) put on a homemade seat, and found a coffin/stealthfighter gas tank. I call the tank stealthfighter because it has way more angles than you'd ever need to make a coffin tank, but still resembled a coffin tank in profile. I no longer have this bike. But I am working on another one, a '72 with a real hardtailed frame. No lowering struts this time!
